I am Bishop Todd Bell and along with the community of Saint Matthias, I wish to welcome you and share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ with all we come in contact with. Spreading the Good News of salvation and anxiously awaiting His coming in glory!
The Community of Saint Matthias is committed to an inclusive approach, void of barriers between God and His people. Christ ministered to those in need, rather than those who were in “good standing” under the “law”. Christ more often than not was found in the company of the “untouchables”, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind and ministering to forbidden people such as the Samaritan woman.
The Church must minister to people through love and kindness; not fear and heavy handedness. We seek to do this through equality, justice and truth. This is done through strengthening with an understanding of God’s Holy Scriptures, renewal within the Holy Eucharist and an openness to the Holy Spirit as He speaks to and through His people.
